The number of new coronavirus cases in Monroe County is taking a big dip.
The health department reports there were 89 new confirmed cases of the virus since the last update and no additional deaths. The rolling average of new cases is now down to 116 new cases per day and the average positivity rate is holding steady at 1.6 percent.
There have been more than 52,000 confirmed cases in the county since the pandemic began a year ago.
