Cuomo: COVID Bill Aid Not Enough to Cover Budget Deficit

Governor Cuomo says the money promised to New York by Congress in the COVID relief bill won't cover the projected $15 billion budget shortfall.

The state is set to get only $12.5 billion, and Cuomo says tax increases are on the table.

The state budget must be finalized by the end of this month.

And Cuomo points out that the federal aid is a one-time-only deal, and he says that will make the budget process "tricky".
