Officer Fires Shot at Fleeing Car

A Rochester police officer fired a shot at a stolen vehicle that rammed a police car on Dewey Avenue early Sunday morning. Police say officers tried to stop the stolen car, but the driver reversed and struck the police car. An officer fired at least one round that hit the suspect car.

The fleeing driver hit a metal railing and was taken into custody with a minor leg injury. He was not hit by the bullet. Police continue to investigate.
