Some members of Governor Cuomo's own party are pushing for him to be censured for how his administration handled the spread of COVID-19 in nursing homes.
Eleven members of the state Democratic Committee believe the governor's office withheld information about the number of nursing home residents who died.
They're also criticizing the governor for an alleged verbal attack against Democratic Assemblyman Ron Kim.
But state Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs says the committee should focus on finding candidates for office instead of getting involved in issues he believes could be a distraction.
