Governor Cuomo Saying More about Proposal to Legalize Marijuana in NYS

Governor Cuomo is saying more about his proposal to legalize marijuana in New York State.

He says amendments detail how 100-million dollars in a "social equity fund" will be available for communities hard hit by the war on drugs.

Qualified organizations and local governments would apply for money to support community revitalization efforts.

The governor's proposal would also allow marijuana delivery services -- but local governments could opt out of delivery within their jurisdiction.

He also wants to reduce the penalties for illegal sales of weed.
