The Ontario County Health Department says it's on board with resuming high-risk high school winter sports under the regulations issued by the state last week.
Public Health Director Mary Beer says after an extended discussion, they've officially given the go-ahead to schools, coaching staffs, and sports leagues that training, games, and tournaments may resume on February 1st in Ontario County.
Health officials will continue to monitor COVID infection rates.
