Maria Vecchio Nicchitta has announced her candidacy for the 17th District in the Monroe County Legislature, representing Irondequoit.
The current holder of the seat, Democrat Joe Morelle Jr, has announced that he's running for Supervisor of Irondequoit.
Vecchio Nicchitta is also a Democrat and says she wants to advance a positive agenda that will move Irondequoit and the County forward.
