Injunction Granted in Orange Zone Restaurant Suit

A judge in Buffalo has issued a preliminary injunction, allowing indoor dining at some restaurants in COVID Orange Zones.

The ruling applies to the Erie County restaurants that brought the lawsuit.

It's not immediately clear if it also applies to a Rochester area restaurant that joined the case, because the Monroe County Health Department was not named as a defendant.

A hearing on a possible permanent injunction will be added later this year.

The plaintiffs argued that the Orange Zone restrictions were unfair and that they could operate safely.
