Sen. Gillibrand, Schumer Want Trump Out of Office Soonest

United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand says President Trump is dangerous, and should be removed from office for inciting yesterday's assault on the Capitol Building....

But Gillibrand says she doesn't believe the Vice-President and the Cabinet have the spine to invoke the 25th Amendment and force Trump out of office....and she says the Senate doesn't have the spine to vote to impeach. She says that leaves a criminal investigation of the President's role in inciting the riot. She says plans for Congressional investigations are already being made.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer is calling for the immediate removal of President Trump from office. New York's Senior Senator argues the President incited yesterday's insurrection and should not hold office one day longer.

He said the quickest and most effective way to remove the President would be for Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment. He said that could be done today. Schumer writes if Pence and the Cabinet refuse to stand up, then Congress should reconvene and impeach the President.
