Lawsuit Hearing Challenging Orange Zone Business Closings Set For Friday

A court hearing is set for Friday in a lawsuit challenging the business closings in the state's COVID Orange zones.

The suit was first brought by businesses in Buffalo, and now some Rochester businesses are joining it.

Restaurants in the Orange zones are demanding that the state allow them to resume indoor dining.

Some of those businesses are a short distance from competitors outside the zones that are allowed to stay open.

Rochester City Council Member Jose Peo and an East Avenue restaurant owner plan to say more about the lawsuit later this morning.
