A Wolcott police officer has been arrested on charges of rape and committing a criminal sex act. New York State Police say the charges stem from an incident that occurred in November of 2017.
Troopers say Powell was arraigned in Wayne County Court and released under pre-trial supervision, with a court date of January 13th.
Powell has been employed as the Officer-in-Charge of the Village of Wolcott police department. The incident took place before he was hired.
