One Person Dead, Another Hospitalized After Head-on Crash Near Manchester

UPDATE: The two drivers in last night's fatal crash east of Manchester have been identified.

46-year-old Shawn Gedney of Clifton Springs was pronounced dead at the scene on County Route 13.

60-year-old Paul DeMay of Shortsville was airlifted to Strong Hospital, where he continues to recover.

The crash remains under investigation.

One person is dead, another is in the hospital following a head-on crash east of the village of Manchester.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says it happened shortly before 10 last night on County Road 13, east of County Road 7.

An SUV driver died at the scene. The driver of a sedan was flown to Strong.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
