The state Department of Motor Vehicles is warning people about a brand-new phone text scam.
They say someone is texting people with an alert, saying every license holder must update their contact information, and the text includes a dummy link.
The DMV says they’re not the ones sending the text, and advise anyone receiving it to delete it, and not provide any personal information.
