A native of Jamaica living in Rochester is heading to prison for filing false federal income tax returns on behalf of 44 taxpayers.
Thirteen of those taxpayers did not know defendant Daciann Brown was filing returns using their personal information.
Brown pleaded guilty two years ago but failed to appear for sentencing.
He was arrested by U.S. Marshals in June and was sentenced yesterday to nearly four years in prison.
He also was ordered to pay $182,000 restitution.
