We are learning more about what prompted the investigation November 20 at the Monroe County Democratic Committee.
13 WHAM reports new Democratic Chair Zach King had questions about a prior financial agreement outlining how the Committee would plan the annual Mayor's Ball and divide the profits.
King contacted the state Board of Elections, sought legal advice and contacted what the Committee calls "interested government agencies."
The District Attorney's office seized documents and a computer.
