Governor Andrew Cuomo says it's time to start thinking about whether you'll get the COVID-19 vaccine, which he says will be available later this month.
At first it will go to nursing home patients and medical care workers...but eventually in 2021 it will reach the general population. Cuomo says he wants at least 75 percent of New Yorkers to get the shot.
Cuomo said the state plans an intense education campaign urging people to get vaccinated, and says he'll take the shot himself. He showed off a box of the Pfizer vaccine packed in dry ice to keep its temperature way below freezing for shipping.
