AAA: Thanksgiving Travel Down This Year

Fewer of us will be traveling for Thanksgiving this year.

AAA says the effects of the pandemic, health worries and unemployment are keeping people away from the airports and highways.

Travel is expected to be down at least 10 percent -- the largest one-year drop since the recession in 2008.

The renewed quarantine restrictions and the CDC's recent travel health notices could make that drop even larger.

Tomorrow afternoon is expected to be the peak travel period, and a gallon of gasoline is 47 cents cheaper than this time last year.
