Monroe County could be 2 days away from being declared a COVID-19 "orange zone."
The county's 7-day rolling positivity rate average has been above 4% for 8 days in a row.
That's just 2 days short of the 10-day threshold for an Orange Zone designation.
If that happens, schools in the zone would go remote-only, indoor dining would be banned, and non-essential businesses would be closed.
The Monroe County Health Department is out with the latest COVID-19 numbers.
There have been 315 new cases over the last 24 hours.
No new deaths to report so the death toll remains at 309.
The 7-day rolling average positivity rate for Monroe County now stands at 4.67%, with an average of 262 new cases a day.
Officials say 184 people in the region are hospitalized, 33 of them are in ICU.
