Plans are in place for an Amazon warehouse and distribution center on more than 70 acres along Lexington Avenue in Greece.
Town Supervisor Bill Reilich says Amazon has applied to use the site as a distribution facility, and site plan approval was given last month.
The application says the project will generate about 50 part time jobs and 50 full time jobs -- and 400 local construction jobs.
Amazon already has one facility in Monroe County, in Henrietta, and is said to also be considering a location in Gates.
The Greece and Gates warehouses are being built by developer Acquest.
