Cuomo Predicts Marijuana Legalization Soon

Governor Cuomo is predicting the legalization of recreational marijuana will happen in New York sooner rather than later.

During a radio interview yesterday, the governor said the state will be desperate for money next year and could use the tax revenue from marijuana sales to boost the budget.

The governor has made recreational marijuana legalization part of his recent state budgets, but it's never been approved by the Legislature.

Right now, the state is billions of dollars in the red in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
