NYT Report: Monroe Co. Doing Well in Limiting Spread of COVID-19

It appears Monroe County has done a very good job in limiting the spread of COVID-19.

According to "The New York Times," the area has the fewest number of cases in the country among regions with more than 500-thousand people.

Officials say that's a testament to people taking the virus seriously and doing the right things to protect themselves and others.

The number of coronavirus cases in Monroe County is now at 6,189, an increase of 52 since Wednesday -- while the death toll has risen to 304.
