The Avon School District has placed two elementary school classes under quarantine after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a letter from the Superintendent on the school district’s website, the 14-day-quarantine is being taken as a precautionary measure and those affected will go to remote learning.
The school also learned that a middle school staff member was in contact with someone who had tested positive.
The employee was sent home and asked to contact their health care provider.
