Proposal Limiting the County Executive's Power Approved

The Monroe County Legislature has approved a proposal to limit the County Executive's power to administer county contracts.

The vote was 21-to-8, with six Democrats joining the 15 Republicans to pass the measure.

Democratic County Executive Adam Bello told 13WHAM the legislation will interfere with county business.

But supporters say it will ensure transparency in county government.
