Area Native American Nations Fighting Planned Solar Farm

Representatives of area Native American nations are fighting the planned 15-hundred acre solar farm planned for the Rush-Caledonia area.

The say it would be built on sacred burial grounds.

Developer Horseshoe Solar says it is not ignoring the protests and says it is not proposing to build on burial sites. The company says it has been actively consulting with the Native American nations during the permitting process.

The solar project could supply power to 50,000 homes.
