Mayor Lovely Warren to Be Arraigned Today

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren and two former campaign officials will be arraigned today (at 4 p.m.) on charges they broke campaign finance laws.

Albert Jones, Jr. was chairman of Warren's campaign, and Rosalind Brooks-Harris was treasurer of her Political Action Committee as well as the city's finance director.

They're accused of exchanging funds in order to evade the legal campaign donation limits during Warren's 2017 re-election campaign.

Warren has called the investigation "a political witch hunt."

Her Attorney, Joseph Damelio, says the law requires the prosecution prove there was intent to break the law, which he says is not the case here.
