Governor Cuomo' s support is slipping a little, due in part to some recent coronavirus-related controversies.
A Siena College poll shows Cuomo with a 59% favorability rating, down 6 points from June.
Voters still approve of the governor's handling of the pandemic by a 73-24 margin, 3 points off the June poll.
Cuomo's job performance rating remains steady at 61%.
Meanwhile, Siena says President Trump's hopes of winning his former home state are a pipe dream.
Their poll shows former Vice President Joe Biden leading Trump 61% to 29%.
Biden holds a 20-point bulge over the President update, and a 60-point edge downstate.
New Yorkers give Biden a 62% favorability rating. Trump's is just 29%.
The president has told several media outlets he expects to be competitive in the state.
