A man is under arrest after a police chase last night in Henrietta.
The sheriff's office says it began shortly before 8 p.m. when the Kohl's store reported two repeat offenders were shoplifting.
As deputies arrived, the thieves ran outside. A woman was caught in the parking lot, but the man got into a car and hit the gas -- nearly hitting a deputy and hitting a car.
The driver crashed two more times on East River Road, then drove off Kendrick Road and hit a tree.
The man ran across 390 and was finally caught under the Kendrick Road on-ramp.
Deputies say he had been driving a stolen car.
