Monroe County and the City of Rochester are teaming up to offer free flu shots and COVID tests to members of the community this month.
County Executive Adam Bello and Mayor Lovely Warren say they have partnered with community groups, businesses and hospital systems to bring the tests and flu shots to four Rochester churches from Oct. 5 to Oct. 17.
Clinicians will also provide a general health screening, and anyone who attends must be wearing a mask.
Those who don't have health insurance can still get the services. Officials say Rochester Regional Health and the University of Rochester Medical Center are covering the cost of COVID testing; and Wegmans and the Monroe County Department of Public Health are covering the cost of flu shots.
Testing and flu shots are offered from noon to 7 p.m.
