The ride-hailing services Uber and Lyft want to help people vote in the upcoming election.
Uber is teaming with TurboVote, which will allow users to register to vote or request an absentee ballot through the Uber app. On Election Day Uber will help people find their nearest polling location and give them a discounted ride there.
Lyft is offering free rides on Election Day to polling places and drop boxes in underserved communities and discounted fares for other voters who use the 2020VOTE code.
