COVID-19 Cases Increasing in Monroe County Churches

Monroe County health commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza is seeing a trend in new cases of COVID-19.

He says there seems to be a growing number of cases connected to area churches.

Mendoza says 70 cases in the county in the past month were in regular church goers -- or people in close contact with them.

Mendoza is asking local communities of faith to review the best practices for worshiping together during the pandemic.
