Mostly Peaceful Protests in Rochester Continued on Labor Day

Rochester police say roughly 600 protesters took part in a demonstration for four hours last night outside the public safety building.

It was the sixth night of protests since the public learned of the death in police custody of Daniel Prude.

Police say just a few in the crowd threw bottles at officers and some tried to knock down barricades outside the building.

The protesters are calling for the resignations of Mayor Lovely Warren and Police Chief La'Ron Singletary and they want new procedures calm people who are mentally ill.
