New York officials are establishing a threshold for colleges and universities throughout the state, which could trigger on-campus remote learning.
Governor Cuomo says if any college has 100 cases, or if their cases equal out to five-percent of their total student population, they must suspend in-person learning for two weeks. At that point the students would remain on campus, but shift to online-learning.
Cuomo says it's important to anticipate clusters of cases where people are gathering in close proximity.
