The State Public Service Commission is holding four virtual public hearings today and tomorrow to take comments on rate increases at RG&E and NYSEG
The joint proposal would raise electric and gas delivery rates and close six of the 16 customer service walk-in offices.
The rate hikes would be phased in over three years.
The utilities plan to use the revenue to pay for infrastructure.
