LCSO: California Man Injures Deputy

Patrickdean Garcia

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office has filed a number of charges against a California man after a deputy was injured while trying to take him into custody earlier this month.

Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says they crossed paths with 27-year-old Patrickdean Garcia of Dale City, California when a local business called 911 and reported that Garcia was refusing to leave their property. When a deputy arrived and asked him to leave the premises, Garcia became combative and got into a tussle with the deputy. Two bystanders helped the deputy subdue Garcia, who is now charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and other charges.

Garcia is being held on $25,000 bail. The injured deputy was treated at a local hospital and his name has not been released.
