Starting today, police across New York will be keeping an extra eye out for dangerous drivers.
It's part of the STOP-DWI "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign that will run through Labor Day.
Data show the efforts by law enforcement have worked, since there was a 19 percent drop in fatal crashes with an impaired driver between 2010 and 2019.
During last year's Labor Day crackdown, police issued nearly five-thousand tickets for impaired driving and more than 170-thousand tickets for other violations.
