RCSD Looking At More Budget Cuts

More budget cutting is coming in the Rochester City School District.

It is looking at a projected budget gap of 74 million dollars for the school year that starts next July.

Superintendent Dr. Lesli Myers-Small says the district also learned last week that it would see a 20 percent cut in state funding, totaling 128 million dollars. She says the district will have to cut budgets for all departments and schools by 20 percent, implement staffing changes, and review fiscal practices and commitments.
