Two people were hospitalized yesterday following an officer-involved shooting in Canandaigua.
Police say a man stabbed a woman on Eastern Boulevard multiple times on Saturday afternoon. Officers ordered the suspect to drop his knife, and an officer then shot the man when he refused and moved toward them.
Both the suspect and victim were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and are recovering. Canandaigua Police have requested that New York State Police investigate the incident.
