Coronavirus Crisis Greatly Impacts New York State's Finances

We're getting a better idea of just how badly the coronavirus crisis has impacted New York State's finances.

Budget Director Robert Mujica says New York is facing an over 14 billion dollar shortfall during the current fiscal year. Making matters worse, that deficit could swell to 62 billion dollars through 2024.

Mujica said yesterday that while the economy is reopening, the pandemic has damaged New York's bottom line more than the Great Recession did.
