Tyquan Rivera Arrested in Domestic Dispute Incident

The man who shot a Rochester police officer when he was a teenager has been arrested again, following a domestic disturbance in Greece.

Greece Police say Tyquan Rivera was charged with obstructing governmental affairs and resisting arrest following an incident last week. Police were called to a home on Leonard Road for a report of a man and woman arguing. They arrived to find an alarm going off and Riversa standing near the home's side door. Police recognized Rivera and knew he didn't live there.

Officers approached Rivera, but he tried to close the door on them and became belligerent when officers attempted to detain him. Police say they used a Taser on him after he resisted arrest.

Rivera served time as a teenager and young man for the shooting of Rochester Police Officer Anthony DiPonzio. He's been charged since with violating parole and dealing drugs, and in June was driving without a license when a motorcycle hit his SUV.
