A former Newark School District employee who's now facing child porn charges has been returned to Rochester. Matthew Holland made an appearance today in federal court on charges that he produced, received and possessed child pornography, and that he enticed a minor online. He was returned to the area from Leesburg, Virginia, where investigators found he had coerced a 14-year-old into sending him nude photos.
Holland was first extradited to Virginia to face those charges, then brought back to Rochester to be tried on the federal charges.
Holland was ordered held pending a detention hearing on August 11th. In the meantime, the Department of Homeland Security is asking anyone who may have information concerning Holland to contact their Buffalo office at (716) 464-6070
