Gov. Cuomo Signs Legislation Allowing Sale of Ice Cream Made with Alcohol

Governor Cuomo has signed legislation authorizing the manufacture and sale of ice cream and other frozen desserts made with liquor.

He says consumer demand for the products is increasing.

And he says the new law will help New York's dairy farmers, liquor producers, dairy processors, food stores and restaurants meet the demand.

The law limits the percentage of alcohol in ice cream to not more than 5 percent of alcohol by volume.
