Rochester Woman Sentenced for Murder

A Rochester woman has been sentenced to 21-years-to-life in prison for the murder of 73-year-old George Rogers. Jazmine Simmons was found guilty of murder by a Monroe County Jury last December.

Simmons was convicted of second degree murder for stabbing the victim 74 times at his home on Rosewood Terrace in Rochester following an argument. His body was found by his landlord the next month, and the clues led to Simmons arrest.

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley says she's satisfied with today's sentence.
