Reyes Sentenced on Federal Immigration Charges

A man who admitted to killing his girlfriend and her son on a farm in Sodus in 2018, is being sentenced on unrelated federal immigration charges.

Federal prosecutors say Everardo Donoteo-Reyes also known as Alberto Reyes was sentenced to serve 30 months in prison after being convicted of possession of a counterfeit social security card and alien registration card, and illegal re-entry after deportation.

He was deported twice after being arrested in Louisiana in 2016 and in Texas in 2017, but returned to the U.S. and was living in Sodus with his girlfriend Selena Hildalgo-Calderon and her son Owen.

Late last year, Reyes pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter in connection with their deaths, and was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison.

The bodies were found, months apart, on the farm where the mother worked.

Reyes will serve his federal prison sentence once his state sentence is complete.
