The Monroe County Sheriff's Office will resume its search Saturday morning for a swimmer who went missing Thursday in Lake Ontario. The 63-year-old man jumped off a boat about two-and-a-half miles off the Irondequoit Bay Outlet to take a swim, but got in trouble and couldn't reach a life ring his friends in the boat tried to throw him. He went under and disappeared.
A SCUBA team and boats equipped with sonar searched in 90-foot-deep water for him all day yesterday.
