The New York State Department of Health is announcing that nursing homes and long term care facilities can start allowing limited visitation.
State health officials says visitation will only be allowed at facilities that don’t have coronavirus cases and have been COVID-19 free for at least 28 days. At that time, residents will be allowed two visitors at a time.
Those visitors will have to undergo temperature checks, wear face coverings and practice social distancing during the visit.
For each facility, only ten percent of the residents can be allowed visitors at any given time.
