Two Rochester Police Officers Injured in Weekend Incident

Two Rochester police officers are recovering from the injuries they received in an encounter with a crowd at one one of the weekend shooting scenes.

It happened after a 16-year-old was shot near Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street. Officers investigating the shooting were approached by about 25 people yelling at them.

Two members of the group grabbed an officer by the arm and one of them punched him in the head. A second officer was hurt helping the first.

Bartholomew Murdock was arrested for assault and obstructing police. and three other adults were arrested for obstructing police, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
