The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has been on the scene of a standoff in Penfield since 4:30 p.m. Monday. Deputies have been trying to talk a man out of a house which is located on route 250, near Sweets Corners Road. Investigators say the man, said to be between 40 and 60 years of age, made alarming comments. They are concerned about him hurting himself. The area is surrounded and blocked off.
