Three Rochester Homicides in 15 Hours

Rochester Police are investigating a third fatal shooting in less than 24 hours. Police are investigating at Bardin and Minder Streets in the Maplewood neighborhood after a shooting this afternoon. Captain Frank Umbrino says the victim has been identified as 31-year-old Parris Washington of Rochester. He was found dead in a back yard.

There were two other fatal shootings overnight: one about midnight on Bernard Street and North Street. Victim Ricardo Stone Jr, a 23 year old Rochester man, died after being brought to the hospital. And about 1:00 a.m. a man was shot to death inside a store on North Clinton Avenue near Avenue D. Police have identified him as 17-year-old Willie Carter the 4th of Rochester.

A man was also shot and seriously wounded early this morning on Violetta Street on the Southwest Side of Rochester...and at about 3:00 this afternoon a man arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital after being shot and wounded on Magnolia Street.
