New York State's hunter education course will continue to be available online through August 31st.
All hunters must complete the course before they can buy a hunting license.
Since mid-April, more than 24,000 hunters have successfully completed it -- about 20 percent more than usual.
In addition, the Department of Environmental Conservation is making an online bow hunter education course option available beginning July 15.
