The Buffalo Sabres have fired General Manager Jason Botterill.
Senior Vice President of Business Administration Kevyn Adams has been named General Manager.
Owners Terry and Kim Pegula said in a statement the decision came after many discussions with Botterill during a full review of the hockey operation. And the Pegulas say they had philosophical differences about how to improve the team.
The Sabres have also fired assistant GMs Randy Sexton and Steve Greeley.
Adams served as a development coach and assistant coach with the Sabres from 2009 to 2013.
